Members of the Belmont community have expressed interest in establishing a Farmers Market in the area to provide fresh and nutritious food from WA growers with an emphasis on sustainable agriculture and locally grown, organic produce.

Local Government Reform
We are campaigning for greater efficiency and transparency at the Belmont Council. We want to see the direct election of the Mayor by all voters in Belmont not just the Councillors.

Make Belmont Safer
BCG is working to increase safety and reduce crime in our area. We support a strong police presence in our suburbs and quicker police response times.

Restore the Ascot Kilns
The Belmont Community Group is campaigning to save the Ascot Kilns and restore the site as a community asset. We are opposed to the rezoning of the area to Urban and will campaign to stop industrial or high-rise development on this site.

Past Campaigns
We successfully led the campaign to defeat the forced amalgamation of the Belmont and Kalamunda Councils.
We were successful in obtaining an increase in the opening hours of the Belmont Police Station to 7pm.
BCG ran a successful campaign with locals from Ascot Waters to stop a 15 storey high-rise development.
